Description: Output variable STRAINFREE, previously available for Abaqus/Standard simulations, is now available for Abaqus/Explicit simulations. Strain-free adjustments are made for some models to resolve initial noncompliance of contact and constraints. Some strain-free adjustments modify the initial configuration, and other types of strain-free adjustments modify the initial displacement. Displacement (U) output at zero time only shows the effects of some strain-free adjustments; however, STRAINFREE output includes the effects of all types of strain-free adjustments. If any strain-free adjustments exist, output variable STRAINFREE is written automatically to the output database (.odb) file for the original field output frame at zero time.
