2.5 Browsing and searching the contents of data, message, and status files within the job monitor

Benefits: You can now display the data file, message file, and status file produced by a locally submitted Abaqus job directly within the job monitor. Abaqus/CAE updates these files automatically as the analysis progresses, so the display of this data is more current than in previous releases. The job monitor also includes search tools that enable you to search the data file, message file, and status file for errors or warnings. These enhancements streamline the tracking of jobs within Abaqus/CAE by making it easier to troubleshoot issues in an analysis.

Description: Abaqus/CAE now displays the data file, message file, and status file on tabbed pages in the job monitor, as shown in Figure 2–2.

Abaqus/CAE periodically refreshes the data in these files as the analysis progresses.

In addition, Abaqus/CAE now includes a Search Text frame in the job monitor that enables you to search for text strings within any of the tabbed pages in the dialog box, including the data file, message file, and status file. You can search for occurrences of a case-sensitive string using the Next and Previous buttons to step through the file from one hit to the next.
