Benefits: Abaqus/CAE now displays translucent objects in the viewport more quickly and with greater accuracy than in previous releases. Additional controls for the rendering of translucent objects enable you to optimize their display to a level that is appropriate for your model and for your graphics hardware.
Description: The display of translucent objects is now more accurate, faster, and provides a more realistic image than in earlier releases. In addition, you can now control whether Abaqus/CAE optimizes the display of their translucent surfaces for performance, for accuracy, or for a level in between. You can select an optimization level by using the Translucency mode slider, shown in Figure 2–4, in the Graphics Options dialog box.
