Description: When time-domain viscoelasticity is specified as part of a hyperelastic material definition, Abaqus provides a new formulation in which the hereditary integral is written using the standard push-forward operator that is applicable for rubber-like solids. Viscoelastic dissipation computations have also been improved, producing positive dissipation under all states of deformation.

The new formulation is not used for the following:

• hyperfoam materials,

• elements with one-dimensional stress states in Abaqus/Standard, and

• plane stress elements in a steady-state transport analysis.
