13.1 User-defined friction coefficient for contact surfaces

Benefits: New subroutines allow the user to customize the friction coefficient value for a particular contact analysis.

Description: User subroutine FRIC_COEF is used to define the isotropic friction coefficient in an Abaqus/Standard contact analysis with contact pairs. User subroutine VFRIC_COEF is used to define the isotropic friction coefficient in an Abaqus/Explicit contact analysis with general contact. The friction coefficient can be a function of slip rates, pressure, temperature, etc.
